Dental Sealants

Our dentists may suggest a sealant as a preventive dental procedure to shield patients’ teeth from deterioration. A dental sealant is painted onto the chewing surface of teeth and is constructed of clear or tooth-colored resin. The sealant stops tooth decay and cavities by keeping away the bacteria and food particles that cause them. The natural pits and grooves on the tooth surface are covered by a smooth covering created by the dental sealant, which also makes it simpler to properly brush teeth.

Children are most frequently advised to get dental sealants. As soon as the permanent molars erupt, usually between the ages of 6 and 12, kids are frequently advised to have braces.
